Zimbabwe on Thursday, 29th April, 2021 hosted the first virtual ZAMCOM Council of Ministers’ (CoM) Meeting which was presided over by the Chair, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Fisheries, and Rural Resettlement, Hon Dr. Anxious Jongwe Masuka. This was in line with the new normal of hosting high level meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the whole world.
Honourable Masuka (left), is seen wearing a mask in line with the mandatory mask-wearing direction in Zimbabwe as one way of preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Hon. Masuka later handed over the Chairship to Angola in an event that saw ZAMCOM achieve, yet another milestone – coming full circle following the completion of the first round of ZAMCOM Chairship rotation which takes place alphabetically annually. Angola first took over as Chair of ZAMCOM at the inaugural CoM meeting held in Luanda, Angola in 2013.
